  1. HAVE THE SELLER AND BUYER’S SIGNATURES NOTARIZED
  2. HAVE A PAPER COPY OF INSURANCE IN THE BUYER’S NAME
  3. ANY PROOF OF SALES TAX PAID
  4. SALE PRICE AND ODOMETER READING WRITTEN IN CLEARLY
  5. THE BACK OF THE TITLE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY (MAKE SURE THE BUYER’S ADDRESS IS WHERE YOU WANT THE TITLE WORK MAILED BACK TO ONCE COMPLETED)
  6. SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER FOR BUYER(S)
  7. LEAVE A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL WITH YOUR TOTAL FOR PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE (DEBIT OR CREDIT- THERE IS A 2.75% CHARGE ON THE TOTAL OF YOUR TRANSACTION OR CALL TO MAKE ARRANGEMENT TO PAY BY CHECK
  8. IF TITLE IS FROM OUT OF STATE, ALL INSPECTIONS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE TRANSFER CAN BE DONE
  • FIND VTR FOR SHERIFF INSPECTION AT DRIVE.KY.GOV/FORMS (Form TC96-182) OR ON TABLE ADJACENT TO MOTOR VEHICLE ENTRANCE DOOR
  • TITLE TRANSFER PACKETS, AS WELL AS OTHER ESSENTIAL FORMS AND INFORMATION, CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON TABLE

  • PLEASE MAIL THE TITLE, PROOF OF INSURANCE, AND INSPECTION FORM, IF APPLICABLE TO:
