Marriage License Application

To best serve our customers, the Scott County Clerk's Office will allow the submission of a marriage license application up to 45 days before the date of the ceremony. An appointment will not be scheduled sooner than 30 days before said date per KRS 402.105.
I CANNOT apply for a marriage license more than 45 days before my anticipated ceremony date.

We DO NOT facilitate the marriage ceremony in any way NOR do we have an officiant on site. Upon request, we can give you the name and number of an officiant with whom you will need to schedule a separate appointment. Obtaining the license from the Scott County Clerk's office does not solemnize the marriage.*
